OUR HOMEMADE STORY
J's Homemade is a family-owned cottage food business that started in a kitchen after a day of making jam with family. We love making baked goods and other things with each other and want others to feel the same love.
I grew up in a home that loved gathering for food with family and friends. From my mom's lasagna to my dad's steak & sausage to my Amma's (grandmother) spectacular fried chicken. I loved to stand in the kitchen and enjoy their company, talking, laughing, and helping where I could. In recent years, I've moved away from my family's home. At the beginning of 2025, we lost my Amma, who went out with a "Glory, Hallelujah!" The times of making food with my family seemed at an end...
THEN! In August of 2025, I tagged along with my wife as she joined her family in making jam one Sunday. Standing in the kitchen with my new family brought all of the fantastic memories with mine rushing back. It was calm. It was peaceful. It was... happy. I was happy. And I knew I wanted to share that happiness with others. Since I can't invite you all into our kitchen to experience it for yourself, we make sure to try and bring the experience to you through our products, from our home to yours!
